Mural

If you have a theme in mind for your interior, for example in the nursery, and you want to do something with it on the wall, you can create a mural. You can make or order all kinds of stencils for this, but you can also very easily create shapes on the wall using tape. It requires a bit of precision work, but the result is something truly original.
step-by-step plan

1. Choose your theme and design. Keep the available space in mind, as there is often a cupboard or bed placed in front of a wall, and it would be a shame if your mural gets covered up. You can also emphasize a piece of furniture by creating a mural behind it.

2. Stencil. Film or tape is easy to apply to the wall; it works quickly and gives a nice result. Do you have a steady hand and plenty of patience? Then you can also use a projector. Project the image onto the wall and use a pencil to draw the outlines. Then, fill them in with your chosen colour of fairf wall paint.

3. Preparations for a good result. Before you start, ensure the wall is clean and grease-free. It is then useful to measure where the mural should go on the wall using a tape measure and mark it. If you are working with a projector, you can get started right away. If you use tape, test beforehand to ensure it doesn't stick too well and pull the plaster and paint layer off the wall. If this happens, choose tape suitable for delicate surfaces. If you are using stencil film, follow the instructions provided.

4. The real work; you can get started. For interior walls that have been plastered and painted, you can simply use fairf wall paint. You usually need to apply two coats to get your mural fully covered. You can use a paint roller or brush for this.

5. Finishing. Are you finished painting and did you use film or tape? Gently remove it from the wall before the paint is dry. Any imperfections can be touched up with a fine brush once the paint is completely dry.

6. Cleaning up. Once painting is done, you can wipe the residue off the brushes and rollers with an old cloth. Then, rinse them with water and dry the brushes further with a cloth. Once the brushes and rollers are completely dry, you can store them away until your next adventure.
