Stoned hasn't just managed to build a fanbase in the Netherlands over the past few years; from Antwerp to Tokyo and from Berlin to New York, Stoned designs are available in luxury department stores and better interior design shops. The brand was founded in 2014 by Derkan Atakan and John ter Riet: two marble enthusiasts from the very beginning. It all started with serving boards and cutting boards, which were handmade. But it soon got out of hand. And we mean that in the most positive way possible. More ideas emerged, more designs, more types of stone that could be used, and more points of sale. Stoned now sells marble, travertine, and onyx interior accessories, plus a few furniture pieces, at more than 200 locations worldwide!
The wine coolers, bowls, and famous serving boards are available worldwide, but we at fairf personally prefer to shop for Stoned items where it all began: in the Stoned store on the Jan van Galenstraat in Amsterdam. Not in the least because you’ll find the matt paint colour Mushroom on the walls there: a fresh and stylish colour with a calm and natural look. A colour that creates a lovely atmosphere while still letting the Stoned items take centre stage. Exactly where they belong, if you ask us.
