How much wall paint and wall primer do I need?
how much fairf do I need?
in the case of: wall paint and primer
Below you can see how many square metres of wall or ceiling you can paint with a tin of fairf.
Please note: the surface you are painting affects the number of layers needed to get your fairf coat to cover nicely. The same applies to the current colour of your wall or ceiling and the colour of your new tin of paint.

measuring is knowing
Do you want to calculate how much paint you need? Then it is good to start by measuring the surface; how many square metres of wall or ceiling are you dealing with? Multiply the height by the width of the surface to be painted. For example, does the wall in question also have doors and windows? Calculate the square metres for these in the same way and subtract them from the number of square metres of the total surface. This way you will quickly see how many square metres you are going to paint and you can easily order the right amount of paint. One last little tip: if you are going to paint multiple layers, multiply the amount by the number of layers required.
To paint multiple layers or not?
That depends on the following…
absorbency of wall and ceiling
Newly plastered walls and walls that have been painted with texture paint are often porous and absorb more paint than walls that have already been painted once. Test how porous your wall or ceiling is by going over it with a wet sponge. Does the water soak into the wall immediately? Then we recommend that you use a primer and then apply the wall paint. This will give you the best result! But can you simply wipe the water off with a cloth? Then the wall or ceiling absorbs significantly less moisture, so it is very likely that one layer of wall paint will be sufficient. For the perfectionists among us: to be completely honest, two layers of paint on your wall or ceiling (with or without primer) always provide the most beautiful and even result.
paint colour
Are you going to paint a light colour over a light colour? One layer is then probably enough to achieve the desired result. But the greater the difference in colour, the more layers you need. A good thing to know: if the colour of paint you want to apply is close to a primary colour (red, yellow, or blue), it is the most difficult to get good coverage. That means: it will certainly work, but you should count on multiple layers. If the colour you are going to paint is therefore very red, yellow, or blue, it is very likely that you will need to go for a third or perhaps even a fourth layer.
